Situated on Jalan Iskandar and surrounded by three churches; St. Thomas Anglican church, Methodist Church and St. Anthony Catholic church, this is the only Chinese temple in the area. It is located just a mere 2 kilometres from Bintulu town centre. Amongst the peculiar features of this unique spiritual landmark are the rock garden courtyard, man-made waterfall and dragon fencing - all of quality craftmanship. It can be easily seen on your way to the heart of Bintulu town.

Bintulu Esplanade is where Open air functions are held here. Joint this group of pretty ladies in aerobics dance. Regular fitness exercise is very important for office workers. It may be quiet on regular days. But not when there is an event like this aerobic class early morning.

It has 3 observatory points offering views during sunsets.

Pan-Borneo Highway - From Sematan to Tawau

The Pan-Borneo Highway was built in 1986 to link the two East Malaysian states of Sabah and Sarawak. As of today, the Pan-Borneo Highway is 93 percent completed, with a remainder of a 50-kilometre missing link from Kalabakan to Serudong.

It begins in the district of Sematan in Sarawak, and passes through Kuching, Serian, Sri Aman, Sarikei, Sibu, Bintulu, Miri, Limbang, Lawas, Kota Kinabalu, Sandakan and Tawau.

Similajau National Park, Bintulu.

The main tourist attraction is Bintulu is the Similajau National Park ...a narrow strip of forest fronted by golden sand beaches. This is a protected area, permit is required to enter the national park which are available at the park entrance.

Step out of the plane and walk right into the main street of Bintulu Town. This was the old airport of Bintulu. Old Bintulu Airport faces the South China Sea. The old airport is only a doorstep away from town and this fact is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the town sited nearest to an airport.
