Message  From The President COUNCIL OF SABAH SENIOR CITIZENS ASSOCIATIONS. (COSCA) 15th October 2004
Indeed I feel very honored to be invited to contribute a brief message for your esteemed souvenir book in conjunction with your co-hosting of the sixth annual celebration of the COSCA World Senior Citizen Day to be held on 15th and 16th October 2004 in Lahad Datu. I am very thankful to Lashed Datu Senior Citizens Association for accepting the responsibility of co-hosting this state-wide function. A special  thanks to Mr.Pang Kon Yu, the Chairman and his organizing team for working very hard to ensure it a success. Whilst in Lahad Datu, I fervently hope you all have an enjoyable time as it also provides an opportunity for all the seniors, friends and supporters to meet again and to talk about the past and also to make new friends. Any suggestion to improve the programme and activities of the celebration is also welcomed. As your new President, I extend my profound appreciation to Mr.Richard Shim, our Past President, and also all the other past and present officials for initiating this yearly celebration since 1999 without any interruption. The first one was organized in Tawau by the Tawau Senior Citizens Association. It is most appropriate for me to appeal to all corporate figures and affiliates to donate generously to off-set the expenses incurred in this auspicious function.
