Car Ferry Service in Sabah and Sarawak


Sabah Ports and Harbours Department (SPHD) is the authority to approve and give lisense for car ferry -services in Sabah

Two new car-ferries begun service in 2015.


1- Feri Goodwill Start operated by Labuan Mainland Link
2- Feri Galaxy operated by Juta Bonus

Labuan Ferry Corporation also has two ferries plying from Labuan island to the Sabah mainland.

The three operators together run eight round trips daily with provision to run additional trips during peak season.

The other existing ferries in operation are

3- Feri Putrajaya 1,
4- Feri Wawasan Perdana,
5- Feri Warisan Perdana, and
6- Feri Kimanis 1.



Leaving 6:00am arriving 7:30am
Leaving 11:30am arriving 1:30pm
Leaving 8:30am arriving 10:30am
Leaving 6:30pm arriving 8:30pm

Menumbok-Labuan ferry operator Binabalu Sdn Bhd own the  new vessel Feri Galaxy.
Galaxy  started service on 29th November 2015 providing two return trips daily between mainland Sabah and the federal territory island.

Galaxy carry up to 88 vehicles and 356 passengers at any one time, leave from Menumbok at 6am and 11.30am daily. The daily trip from Labuan will be at 8.30 am and 6.30pm. It take 90 minutes for each of its four daily trips.
