How to receive money via Western Union in Tawau

Get a Western Union Money Transfer form. Be sure to take the correct form with “To receive money” clearly stated at the upper right corner of the form.

You can get the money immediately on the next day your payment is issued.
 You do not need an account with CIMB, anyone can receive money

Fill in your name, address, telephone number and the sender’s information.


1) The amount of your payment
2) The Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN) for this payment
3) Your government issued ID (Passport, Driver’s License, National ID, etc)
4) Sender’s information:


Go to your nearest Western Union agent such as CIMB bank Tawau.


Bring your IC along where the bank clerk will need to verify your identity.
Payment are made in cash in Rm.
No charges at receiver side. Easy, no hassle.
