In the 1970s, Wisma Yong Hin was formerly rented by government as department office building.
It was then converted into a supermarket by Yong Hin Marketing Sdn Bhd. Today, the building still owned by the company and offer affordable goods and groceries.
Nearby is Tawau City Bus Terminal that act as a hub for all buses that operate in Tawau area only.

The second son of Chong Sam Tai, Yee Khiong has the most business minded person with good relationships with the suppliers in West Malaysia. The elder son Sheng Khiong, was just a sluggish womanizer! One day as Yee Khiong walked down in Kuala Lumpur and saw the contemporary Emporium (in those days Emporium Superstores were just like the present Giant or Tesco) he went in to observe and triggered on an idea, Tawau should at least come out something like that. So he went to lobby with few big suppliers in Kuala Lumpur and came back to select a good spot to establish a big air-conditioned superstore. That time many of his relatives included Vui Khiong, his brother also partook as a departmental manager. Who later opened Man Vui. Man Loong was being filed with a writ of winding up due to unable to fulfil debts repayment on merchandise by the suppliers! Caused by Yee Khiong good at setting up only the initial stage, but didn't know how to run the management! Most vital admin departments were handled by old timer (outsider) who collaborated with his relatives in mutual benefits to excavate full advantage out of him, even his brother did! Sadly saying, Chong had no experience in this line, not that complicated organization. Lots of hanky-panky things of fraudulent cash flows went into the wrong hands as personal assets! One of them was called Personal Lim, when he later quit and left home for Penang, he said: come to visit me I'll fetch you with my BMW! But this guy died in cancer about a decade later....Man Vui followed exactly the footsteps like his brother and also ended up in misery!
