Abdomen length of this mature female Agriocnemis femina oryzae is 18mm

Thorex is 3 mm

Head with eye (missing) is estimated 2mm

So the totle body length is 23mm

Front wing is 13mm each

Wing span estimated  27mm

Photographer Notes:  On 31-10-2006 I found a female strangled on a spider web at the pond side.  The web was just 2 inches above water. Unknown what spider species but the spider must be a small species as it eaten only the head of this female damselfly leaving the the rest of the body intect - the abdomen, thorex, and 4 wings.   This is another good piece of \natural spacement for me to measure the insect size.
