The Li River section between Guilin and Yangshuo is famous for its fantastic
landscape.

The Li River (Li Jiang), of Guilin is in South China’s Guangxi Province.
Li Jiang is renowned as “the world’s top 10 watery wonders” according to National Geographic.
The most beautiful section of Li River is from Guilin to Yangshuo. Along the 86-kilometer waterway visitors will see karst peaks, grazing water buffalo, farmers in the rice fields, and traditional villages nestled at the bases of the hills.

Millstone Hill Wharf (Mopanshan Wharf)

Cormorant fishing is a traditional in Li River.
Evening, fishermen begin to gather along Li River on their gas-light bamboo rafts with cormorant-birds. These cormorant birds are trained to dive into the clear river where fished are. After catching a fish on its mouth, the bird returns to the rafts where the fisherman collect the fish from the bird.
