Rejang Express QS 2590 A

Rejang Express QS 2590 A

There was an in-efficiency (not efficient) of the staff in passenger service during this bus schedule on 3 April 2015.  After stopping in Bintulu brieftly for picking up more passengers, before the bus started to resume journey, the bus attendants checked and collected ticket stubs from passengers. Every passenger was "OK" according to the bus attendant. But after 10 minutes on the road toward Bintulu direction, a young lady notice that the bus was not going toward Miri City where she intended to go.  She was one of those join in the bus a while ago in Bintulu.

What the bus attendant did was very "cool and calm", he just instruct the girl to get down from the bus at the road side in the middle Bintulu - Sibu highway and left her to her own.

The bus company may think that it was the fault of the passengers because they make the mistake at the first place to board the wrong bus. But what was the duty of staff. Why checking every passenger's tickets? Couldn't the staff at the first place notice from the tickets that passengers were in the wrong bus to the wrong destination?

And second irresponsibility of the company is the lazy short cut in putting out a sign board for the passenger.  This is what the sign board look like. (see following image) Every passenger who read the sign board with quick to impressed that the bus is from Kuching to Miri via Bintulu. But in reality the bus direction is just the opposite reversed direction heading Kuching from Miri via Bintulu. This was how the young passenger was deceived by the sign board and boarded the bus from Bintulu station. And mercilessly dumped off by the bus driver in the middle of highway later. See following sign board of the bus:

Most passenger who read this bus destination sign will assume that the bus is reroute to Miri from Kuching. But in actuality, this above bus was travelling the reverse direction and travelling from Miri to Kuching. This in-precisions in directing passengers resulted a young lady wanted to go to Miri board this bus wrongly and realized 10 minutes later. The bus driver simply dumped her by the road side in the middle of the Bintulu highway and she was left alone to find her way back to Bintulu and Miri.
