One of the biggest highlights of visiting THE PEAKS is witnessing the breathtaking sunset over the horizon of the Celebes Sea (also known as the Sulawesi Sea). THE PEAKS officially opened its doors to the public on 28 December 2018. Since then, it has grown into one of the most iconic and frequently visited spots in Tawau, serving as a peaceful retreat for families, travelers, and nature lovers.
A 2-Acre Concrete Wonderland on a Hill
The observation area spans around 2 acres of concreted surface on top of a hill. This well-developed space includes walking paths, decorative seating areas, and picturesque spots perfect for leisurely walks, sunset viewing, and small gatherings.
