Palm Sunday is a Christian feast that always falls on the
Sunday before Easter Sunday.

The feast commemorates Jesus' triumphal entry into
Jerusalem, an event mentioned by all four
Canonical Gospels (Mark 11:1-11, Matthew 21:1-11,
Luke 19:28-44, and John 12:12-19).

In many Christian churches, Palm Sunday is marked
by the distribution of palm leaves (often tied into crosses)
to the assembled worshipers.

17th April 2011 Sunday 8:00AM A sunny and beautiful morning in Tawau. A blessed Palm Sunday to everyone.

On Palm Sunday Christians over the world celebrate the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem, one week before his death and resurrection.

Palm Sunday often referred to as "Passion Sunday," marks the beginning of Holy Week, which concludes on Easter Sunday.

The Bible reveals that when Jesus entered Jerusalem, the crowds greeted him by waving palm branches and covering his path with palm branches.

Immediately following this great time of celebration in the ministry of Jesus, he begins his journey to the cross.

The biblical account of Palm Sunday can be found in Matthew 21:1-11; Mark 11:1-11; Luke 19:28-44; and John 12:12-19.

Included in the Palm Sunday mass is the reading of the Passion and the sequence of events of Jesus’ capture, suffering and death.

On Palm Sunday hundreds of Christians gathered at Holy Trinity Church in Tawau to witness the enactment of the Passion of the Christ during Holy Week. The highlight was a procession to mark Palm Sunday.
