| Ventrally the endites (pedipalpal coxa) and the
labium (lip) form the mouth. The sternum (breast plate) with the
dorsal carapace holds everything together. the two are joined by a
pleurae, an elastic membrane. It is along the pleurae that the first
crack stars the moulting process. Dorsum is white with four Red and White stripes. (Front two stripes are red and posterior two strips are black) Many species are strikingly colored, but, as in most theridiids, the coloration is variable. |
| This species is found on the underside of leaves of shrubs and small trees. Schmidt (I956) reports that it is commonly brought with bananas to Europe. A
large number of biological species in Bombalai area. The surrounding
private plantations resulted in several species considered
threatened. |
