Males (no image available) similar to females but smaller, 5mm, with less rounded abdomens.
Abdomen large in relation to the cephalothorax and pea-shaped, sometimes looking squashed and slightly lengthened.
Parasteatoda mundula hide in dead leaves hanging between low branches.
Females build a messy web of folded dead leaves about 1m above the ground, connected to shrubs or small trees, with a scatty platform below.
