Eye on Malaysia was relocated to Taman Kota Laksamana, next to the Malacca River in Central Malacca, in late 2008.
It ceased operating in January 2010 pending the outcome of a legal dispute between its owners, Fitraco NV, a Belgian leisure equipment leasing company, and the Malaysian operators of the wheel.

It was dismantled in October 2010.

Eye on Malaysia was a transportable Ferris wheel first installed and  operated in Kuala Lumpur in 2007, was then moved to Malacca in 2008, and operated there until 2010.
Eye on Malaysia is 60 metres (197 ft) high.

The Ferris wheel first operated at Titiwangsa Lake Gardens, Kuala Lumpur in 2007. (2008-2010 in Melacca)
The 60 meters tall wheel enabled visitors to experience a 360-degree panoramic view of Kuala Lumpur city centre and over 20 kilometers of its surroundings, including the Kuala Lumpur Tower, the Istana Budaya and the Petronas Twin Towers.

The Eye on Malaysia, the largest portable ‘observation wheel’ in the world, was opened on 6 January 2007 in conjunction with the grand launch of the Visit Malaysia Year 2007 celebration.

This 60 metre tall portable Ferris wheel originally installation at Titiwangsa Lake Gardens, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It was relocated to Malacca on November 8, 2008.



HOP ON HOP OFF route stop at Titiwangsa Lake Garden where Eye on Malaysia was. This wheel was modeled after London Eye, and was the tallest (60m structure) observation wheel in South East Asia.

This viewing wheel consists of 42 fully air-conditioned gondolas, 39 of which have the capacity to carry a eight passengers. Tickets were available for RM 15 Adult and RM 8 Child.



Ticket Prices

The rate for a ride is Rm. 15 Adult and Rm. 8 for child.
Launched in January 2007 as part of the Visit Malaysia Year 2007 celebrations.


There are 42 gondolas on the Eye on Malaysia and each ride was about 15 minutes for 6 full rounds.
The tickets was RM15 for adult and RM8 for Child.
The loading however was pretty quick since they are able to load up to 8 persons into each of the 3 cabs simultaneously.
The cabs were also air-conditioned so that definitely helps during hot sunny days! The were also speakers in the cab playing the Visit Malaysia Theme Song



The Wheel open at 10:00 am . By 12:00 noon, the location crowded with visitors. Every one lined up for the tickets.
The view from the top was great even though Kuala Lumpur sky often overcast.

The view from Eye on Malaysia is lovely. You can see across the serene lake all the way to Petronas Twin Towers and KL Tower, but may be a bit blurry during bad weather.

The blue building on the right is Istana Budaya (The Palace of Culture). This theatre is the cultural centre of Malaysia with various classical concerts and opera held here.

The Eye on Malaysia was the tallest portable observation wheel in South-East Asia. The 60-metre structure was first located at Titiwangsa Lake Gardens, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The ferris wheel comprising of 42 gondolas (including 1 VIP one) is similar to the London Eye and has been unveiled in conjunction of Visit Malaysia Year 2007 on January 6, 2007 by Malaysian Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.

This giant ferris wheel allows visitors to experience a 360-degree panoramic view of Kuala Lumpur during a 12-minute ride that goes 60 meters high. It offers a magnificent view of Kuala Lumpur and over 20 kilometers of its surroundings including KL Tower, Istana Budaya and Petronas Twin Towers.
