Moths are lovely flying creature.
They are not hyperactive like butterflies, they do not sting like a bee,
they are clean unlike a dirty house fly,
they do not carry disease like mosquitos,
they do not fly away from you like birds. They are ........ the most adorable flying creature God created for my life.

The most pretty moth we came across is this White Moth. Looks similar to the family  SATURNIIDAE.

As far as the eye can see there are tea shrubs on the hillsides.

Huntsman Spider No: 1

A female. 16mm body length

Huntsman Spider No: 2

A female 20mm body length

Huntsman Spider No: 3

A male. 14mm body length

These 3 huntsman spiders are great discovery for us. Huntsman are common spiders. For couple of years we saw several exoskeletons of this family of spiders in Tawau but never had a chance to see a real one. Thinking that Huntsman spiders are lowland spiders we did not expected to see one in this mountain trip.

To our great excitement, Xing saw for the first time several of them in the bathroom of Sabah Tea Garden at night when he went for bath. This is a great reward for our trip. Our family Spider Catalogue is finally updated with this long awaited mysteries spider.
