This orang utan was original kept in a private resort in Tawau for several
years, until 2008 the wild life department transferred it to the public
zoo in Kota Kinabalu.

Around 15,000 orang-utans live in Sabah and Sarawak.
Orang-utans are only found in Borneo and a small part of Sumatra.
In Lower Kinabatangan area, WWF-Malaysia is helping to rebuild the orang-utan's
habitat. The efforts are to help the orang-utans in their race for space by
reconnecting gaps in the forest, and advocating for effective management of the
Kinabatangan Wildlife Sanctuary.
