Cyclosa bifida is an orb-web spider. The female is much larger than the male.
Habitat
low shrubsThe web of a mature female can reach half a meter in width. It makes a small circular orb web in low shrub.
Spiders of the genus Cyclosa decorate their vertical orb-webs with a band of rubbish made of remains of insects bound in silk. The spider sits in the hub and appears to be a part of the debris, thereby camouflaging itself. The vertical orb-web is decorated by a vertical band of debris through the centre.
This genus also makes a marking in its web like the Argiope but instead of a cross it makes a circular marking.
Through the center of the snares, furnished with many radii and closely set spirals, often lies a stabilimentum consisting largely of the remains of insects and debris tied together with silk.

The eyes are arranged in 2 rows of 4 with the lateral eyes widely separated from the medial eyes. The carapace is flat with a distinct raised head region. The head is sharply set off from the thoracic region
