International Medical College (IMC) (formerly known as Pantai College of Nursing and Health Science) offers Diploma in Nursing.

IMC is a college established 20 years ago with a reputation in providing quality nursing education and is well recognized locally and internationally.


IMC main campus is in Subang Jaya and a branch campus in Ayer Keroh, Melaka.

IMC is owned by IMU Health Sdn Bhd which also owns International Medical University (IMU), Malaysia’s first and most established private medical and healthcare university with over 21 years of dedicated focus in healthcare education.

IMU Health Sdn Bhd is one of the key subsidiaries of IHH Healthcare Bhd, one of the largest listed private healthcare providers in the world based on market capitalization.


Nursing students in IMC will have the opportunity for clinical exposure in :

1) Pantai Hospitals,
2) Gleneagles Hospitals,
3) approved government hospitals and
4) approved community health clinics.

 

This would prepare them to deliver safe and effective patient care, giving them a distinct and an added advantage in their career.


Once students are registered with the Malaysian Nursing Board, they would be able to look for employment locally and internationally.


Graduates of the previously Pantai College of Nursing and Health Science graduates have consistently secured 100 per cent passes in the Malaysian Nursing Board Licensure examinations with 100 per cent employability, with the opportunity to work at IHH Group of Hospitals, locally and internationally.


Besides the Diploma in Nursing programme, IMC also offers Post Basic in Intensive Care Nursing Certificate.


The three-year Diploma in Nursing programme commences in May, July and September.


Sponsorship from Pantai Hospitals, Gleneagles Hospitals or other reputable private hospitals is available for eligible students.

21 February 2013 – Approval has been obtained from the

Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education approved the change of name for Pantai College of Nursing and Health Science. to  International Medical College (IMC).

Located in a strategic area in Subang Jaya, Selangor, the College and its other centre in Ayer Keroh (Melaka) assumes the responsibility to train and develop a new generation of nurses and allied health professionals.

Vision to provide a teaching environment fully equipped with the state-of-the art technology for a conducive learning environment is further enhanced by faculty members who are professional healthcare educators with vast teaching and clinical experience and specialization.

With the support of ten hospitals of the Pantai Group, the College has a long-standing reputation in providing nurse education, which is well recognized locally and internationally.

Our trained nurses are readily accepted for employment in other countries such as the Middle East, Australia, New Zealand, Britain, Canada etc.

To date, more than 1800 registered nurses and assistant nurses have graduated and presently 700 more trainees are still undergoing training at various stages of the 3-year diploma programme and 18 months conversion course.

 

Pantai Medical Centre
A 200-bedded private medical centre located in Taman Cheras Makmur, Cheras.

Pantai Cheras Medical Centre was commissioned in June 1994 and provides various in and outpatient services.

With over 41 Consultants and 3 full time Medical Officers, the Hospital provides accessible and affordable quality medical care for the people.

Our Specialist Doctors services range from General Medicine to Urology.

The Centre won the recognition of the ISO 9001:2000 Certificate in October 2005.

Pantai College of Nursing & Health Science


The Pantai College of Nursing & Health Science features a full-time, three-year diploma program in nursing, preparing graduates for work as state-registered nurses.

Any student between 18 and 25 who has completed work in a secondary school and has received a pass in SPM English (the Malaysian Certificate of Education) is eligible to apply.

The curriculum gives equal focus to behavioral, nursing and health sciences, providing instruction in the necessary terminology, methodology and medical information as well as proper caretaking techniques.

Clinical experience is achieved at both Pantai hospitals and other approved government health-care facilities.

The school is accredited by the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Higher Education and the Nursing Board of Malaysia. Semesters begin in January, July and October.

Pantai Institute of Health Science and Nursing is dedicated to provide a high quality of training for students nurses and other allied health professional for the Ministry of Health and private medical centres.

The Institute  seek collaborative arrangement with local and foreign institutions, in an effort to promote the development of personal and professional skills, and competency of qualified nurses and allied health professional.

The Institute has signed MOUs with :

Newcastle University, Australia;

Kingston University, UK; and

local INTI Group of Colleges.

The arrangement would certainly benefit the nurses and allied health professionals to pursue higher degree qualification.

Among the programs offered by the Institute are 3-year Diploma in Nursing and Bachelor of Nursing Management in collaboration with Curtin University, Australia.
