In 2003 Infoteguh Sdn Bhd established Kolej Eastern in recognizing the need to improve knowledge and education in various fields and levels of the local students.

The college premise is located 5 kilometers from Kota Kinabalu City Centre.

Infoteguh Company Sdn. Bhd. provide training and service in various fields such as information technology, management and education.
The facilities provided are in accordance with the standards of training and service centers.

Infoteguh Sdn Bhd is also one of the Learning Centers of Open University Malaysia (OUM) in Sabah.
In November 2004, Eastern College was qualified as an Private Higher Educational Institutions (IPTS) approval by Ministry of Higher Education.

These approvals from Government qualified Eastern College to offer short-term programs and long-term Diploma in Information Technology, Certificate in Computer Science, Information Technology Foundation and a number of short-term program in the computer field.
