Petaling Street is part of KL Chinatown. The whole street turns into the famous
NIGHT MARKET in the evening and infamous for pirated products. The street is
crowded at night with locals as well as adventures tourists. The area has dozens
of restaurants and food stalls, serving local favorites. Sellers in night market
are mainly Chinese but now a day there are also more and more Indian, Malay, and
Bangladeshi traders.

At night, the whole street is lined with stalls and the bargain-hunting fun

Here there are many Chinese Kopitiams (coffee shops), which have been in
business for generations.

Green Street Cover
In 2004 , the street's fancy green cover overhead completed. This makes a
world of difference on rainy days.
This green street cover was such a success that a second one is up on Jalan
Masjid India in Little India.

Morning in Petaling Street
Petaling Street is a street mall of the locals to get goods at bargain
prices and certainly an eye-opening experience for tourists.
The many shops along the street sales a variety of goods such as handbags, shoes
and leather goods. A few pet stores can also be found in the area.
Around China Town you will find Chinese medicine shops filled with exotic items
such as ginseng roots, snake bile and various seeds and herbs.
In these Chinese herbal medicine stores you will find hundreds of herbs and
roots that are all meant to remedy any ailment or promote general good health.
