This female Thelacantha brevispina is 9mm in body length. |

T. brevispina, has two distinct white spots on its back and six
red spines approximately 2 mm long. Their sharp spines make them unpleasant morsels for birds and other predators. The female spiders hang by their short legs in the center of the webs. |
