Any Poisonous Spiders in Borneo?

There is no any case of death in Borneo caused by spiders. Though most spiders are venomous, their venom is only strong enough to kill an insect. And spiders almost never bit human because most spiders' mouth structure has difficulty in biting on flat human skin.

All hospitals in Malaysia and Brunei do  not have  "anti-venom for spiders", because such anti-venom is unnecessary and does not exit.

But to sensitive people, a spider and insect bit may cause allergic reaction including serious reaction to the heart and breathing system may  caused death without timely medical attention.

In comparison, warps and bees are  poisonous then spiders in Borneo. Wraps attack human, and their stings cause many sensitive people body reaction that need medical attention.

Latrodectus sp TINAGAT
Latrodectus sp TINAGAT
The Green Widow of Borneo

Female ♀ 10mm
21-8-2015 TINAGAT BEACH

This may look close to a Black Widow (the most poisonous spider of the world) but not a Black Widow.

This species is greenish in colour and unidentified. It was found in a forest beside a beach in Borneo Island. The absence of closely related species in Borneo might suggest that this species has been introduced to this island, probably through the sea.
