This annual carnival is now in second year and an event of Tawau district to highlight the diversity of people of Sabah.

International Cultural Festival Pictures 2012 Tawau showcase dance and cultural performance from each ethnic group.

Dance remains a major attraction to visitors who gathered at the compound in front Tawau Municipal Council.

There were some giant screens for visitors to view the International Cultural Festival 2012 Tawau directly without the need to squeeze in front of the stage.

This help to ease the problem of congestion at the main stage area.

Lively International Cultural Festival Tawau (FKAT) 2012 attracted 10 thousand people to Tawau Town.

Organized for the second time, this International Cultural Festival Tawau (FKAT) in 2012 brought together nearly 30 ethnic groups to Tawau.

With special invited groups from Indonesia Culture Group from Nunukan, Group from Johor Heritage Foundation, Brunei Darussalam Cultural Group, Ethnic from Syria and Performing Arts Group from the State of Sarawak.

Tourism players are called to play their role and promote the many places of interest in the district.

What least, there are six roads were closed. Among those involved were Dunlop Street

Tawau Municipal Council who successfully organized this festival, the fourth time-2 but elevated to the international level at this time.

This year’s festival showcase the traditional wedding ceremony of each ethnic group apart from their unique traditional dance that performed by the villagers themselves and not by performers.

Apart from the many ethnic groups from Sabah, Johore Bahru and Sarawak, Syria (a country in Western Asia) also participated.

There were also showcase and sales of traditional food and the highlights was at night in front of the TMC building on 11th February 2012

The proud citizens of Tawau won praise and success for this 2nd Tawau International Cultural Festival 2012

It is another historical record for Tawau in organizing an international event which was attended by more than 10 thousand people in Tawau Town.

Three large screens in strategic location displays the full events to the 10,000 audient covering 5acrs of the Tawau Town area. But 3 large screens are not enough.

Large screen was placed on the left and the right of MPT building. Another on exhibitions area in front Sabindo Plaza. 

Last year was only two low-resolution screens.

Large number of PVC chairs were provided for spectators. This is convenient for elderly who are no able to stand for too long.

Tawau International Cultural Festival 2012 is the second time being organized and received audience from all over the district of Tawau.

Two. Last year, the International Cultural Festival Cultural Festival Tawau called BIMP-EAGA. Tawau International Cultural Festival name will not be changed again to the organization of next year.

International Cultural Festival was represented by all ethnic groups in Tawau.
Tawau District has the most diversity of ethnic groups than other areas in Malaysia.

This year the festival highlighting the traditions marriages for three days. Last year festival highlight was ethnic traditions of the games.

Sabah Ministry of Information and Culture fully supported this Tawau International event.

International Cultural Festival 2012 Tawau was represented by cultural teams from Indonesia, Brunei and Syria.
