Kuching’s Ting & Ting Supermarket first opened in the year 1957.
This supermarket closed business on Saturday 29th June 2019.
Ting & Ting served Kuching community as its oldest neighborhood grocer for 62 years!

Ting & Ting was founded by Ting Ming Kheng from Sibu. During the supermarket’s early days between 50s to 70s it had reigned supreme as the best, biggest and most popular supermarket in Kuching town (now city)

Mr. Ting Ming Kheng managed to gauge his customers’ demands and daily needs and in a small shopping space the market has been supplying whatever were the customer’s tastes and likes. Ting & Ting’s chilled and frozen section had all the popular meats from Australian to New Zealand cuts of beef and lamb to packets of sausages and frozen vegetables and minced meats of all kinds.

T&T's chicken are halal. And in a very secluded section are non-halal hams, bacon and others frozen meat products. At Christmas time the supermarket bring in the best frozen turkeys from the USA as well as gammon ham. Wholesale section supplied the top hotels and the best private clubs in town.

Ting & Ting had good selection of wine and spirits, including aperitifs, champagnes and even sake and tuak. And a stock of cigars and cigarillos.
