Renewing your Malaysian Passport

1) Get a queue number at the entrance.

2) Wait for your queue number to be called at COUNTER 11.

Submit the following at COUNTER 11:

a) Original Form

b) Original and a copy of you IC. The original will be given back to you with the new passport later.

The counter officer with ask you to verify yourself through the Thumb Scanner of both Left and Right thumb.

After going through the form, the officer will ask you to stamp your Right thump print on the original form.

After this wait for a short while for Counter 11 office to call you back again.

3) Counter 11 will call you number to :

a) Pay Rm300 passport fee

b) Give you a official receipt.

After this you may leave but come back after 1 hour.

4) After you come back after 1 hour, go first to get a queue number at the entrance counter. And wait for call.

5) When COUNTER 11 officer call you again, your new passport is ready for collecting. Remember to get back your original IC. Remember to say Thank You before you leave.

1) Applying for a new Malaysian Passport
2) Applying for a extension of another 5 years for Passport

Procedures are the same for applying a New passport or Extension for another 5 years as following :

You will encounter 3 counters :

1st Counter to get a form,
2nd Counter to submit your form and
3rd Counter to pay Rm300 passport fees

1) The counter for Passport is at the right hand side as soon as you enter the office at 4th floor. (Not the counter at the far front left. That counter is for Foreign Visa and Pass)

2) Show your old passport or mention that you need a new passport. An Application form will be given to you free of charge (formally cost Rm1.00)

NOTE: Please get your numbers in the Enquiry Counter with the completed form and required documents.

When you have the form completed come back to this counter again and submit the following completed set of documents. The staff will check that you have all the document ready before giving you a queue number to proceed to the next counter of passport officer. Take a seat and wait for call of your number.

1) Following documents you need to produce at the :

The completed passport application form ;

Two color passport photos;

One photo copy of your IC ( original to be produce to the officer for verification);

2) Get ready Rm300.00 to be paid on the same morning. Malaysian officers are very efficient now. Malaysian Passport will be ready 24 hours. But most applicants get their passport ready within the same day (less then 12 hours)

1. Borang IM.42 (Pin 1/97)

2. Kad Pengenalan Pemohon yang ASAL dan satu (1) salinan

3. Sijil Lahir pemohon yang ASAL dan satu (1) salinan bagi pertama kali

4. Dua (2) keping gambar TERBARU pemohon berukuran passport. Gambar yang diambil tidak lebih 3 bulan. berlatar belakang biru muda dan baju, tudung hitam ( sekiranya bertudung) berwarna gelap.

5. Pasport lama (jika ada)

PASSPORT MALAYSIA INTERNATIONAL - FOR OVER 18 YEARS

1. IM.42 Form (Pin 1 / 97)
2. Original Identity Card of applicant and one (1) copy
3. Original Birth Certificate of applicant and one (1) copy for the first time
4. Two (2) pieces passport size picture NEW applicants. Picture taken not more than 3 months. Light blue background and black shirt and black head covering (if wearing).
5. Old passport (if any)

PASPORT MALAYSIA ANTARABANGSA / TERHAD BAGI 18 TAHUN KE BAWAH

1. Borang IM.42 (Pin 1/97)

2. Kad Pengenalan Pemohon yang ASAL dan satu (1) salinan

3. Sijil Lahir pemohon yang ASAL dan satu (1) salinan

4. Kad Pengenalan Ibu atau Bapa yang ASAL dan Satu (1) salinan

5. Pasport lama (jika ada)

6. Dua (2) keping gambar TERBARU pemohon berukuran passport.

Gambar yang diambil tidak lebih 3 bulan, berlatar belakang biru muda dan baju, tudung hitam ( sekiranya bertudung ) berwarna gelap.

7. Jika IBU BUKAN WARGANEGARA sila sertakan SIJIL KAHWIN dan PASPOTT IBU vang ASAL dan satu (1) salinan

8. Pasport lama (jika ada)

9. IBU atau BAPA pemohon kena hadir

INTERNATIONAL MALAYSIA PASSPORT - FOR 18 YEARS below

1. IM.42 Form (Pin 1 / 97)
2. Original Identity Card of Applicant and one (1) copy
3. Original Birth Certificate of applicant and one (1) copy
4. Original IC of Mother or Father and one (1) copy
5. Old passport (if any)
6. Two (2) pieces passport size picture. A picture taken not more than 3 months, light blue background and black shirt, black head covering if wearing any.
7. If mother is not a citizen please submit MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE and original PASSPORT of Mother with one (1) photocopy
8. Old passport (if any)
9. Mother or Father of the applicant must present

Malaysian Passport Fee :

32 pages passport - Adult Rm300.00

32 pages passport - Child (12 years beloow) Rm150.00

64 pasge passport - Adult Rm600.00

Passport ready in 24 hours. (But you may get it less then 12 hours if all your documents are ready and few other are applying (no long queue).

Document required for submitting to Immigration Department for renewal of passport of a child with foreign mother :

Photo copy of following : (original to be present to officer for verification at the counter)

1) copy IC of father

2) copy birth certificate of the child

3) copy of marriage certificate of parent

4) copy of passport of foreign mother. First page with the detail and page with the valid VISA

5) Original old passport (will be returned with the new passport)
