1962 白粉細蟌
Found in China, Guandong, Guangxi, Hong Kong, Hainan, Japan, Taiwan
Male and Female Agriocnemis femina oryzae look alike when they are matured. Female is reddish in colour when juvenile.
A mature female is the most difficult to spot. It seem female population of this species is less and even less to be able to get into maturity. One reason is larger size dragonflies pray on the juvenile female.
An Immature male Agriocnemis femina oryzae can be easily mistaken as another species as mature and immature are very different in color. The fully matured male is darkening with white powder developing.
