A common Coeliccia species throughout Borneo yet it is endemic of this island. Like all damselflies, Coeliccia nigrohamata rest on low vegetation. This one was found in swampy ground with a small streamlet

The following male and female Coeliccia nigrohamata were found when coupling, thus both are the same species is established.
